All the skippers I fish with regularly encourage conservation. Chris Caines (Tiger Lily) he's a given (he was one of the founders of "Recycle Fish". Steve Hipgrave (Jenifers Pride) doesn't stop you taking a fish home BUT we know he discourages the killing of Rays and hounds and on our last club trip returned the 11.5lb Bass he caught himself. Clenn Cairns (Valkyrie) another friend of Rays. I expect other anglers could add to this list.

Hiyer Jim, certainly can add to the list. Many if not all of the Weymouth fleet practice recycling. Don't forget all tope are now returned, don't know why that was made law for the rsa in any event as very few where taken. Nearly all conger, returned, many blonde ray for example when fishing with Paul Whittall are returned, the last time out fishing for them we saw evidence of fish that were previously hooked, that can't be a bad thing. This year we had a very good session on the wreck cod and pollack. As this is in deepwater, unfortunatly returning them is not really an option, however being sensible it is good when all agree that enough is enough and move on to something else.

What angling club do you belong to? GCSAC

Hi all,

I am a regular on Steve Porters "True Blue" out of Poole, and I can vouch for him as a fish conservationist. Tope, Hounds, Rays, Conger, etc. are all returned, he encourages you to limit your Bass & Bream catches. Dave Roberts on "Alycat" out of Minehead is the same.

Regards

Drew
